Visual Performance of the Facade
Built on a terracotta-red powder-coated aluminum base, the facade is fitted with hundreds of matching independent circular metal components. Their spacing, projection depth, and angle are all controlled by parametric design logic:
From the front view, the gradient density of the circular pieces forms a subtle pixelated artistic pattern. Under natural light, the highlight on each curved surface aligns neatly, creating a delicate, orderly texture with thoughtful hidden details.
From side angles, the three-dimensionally arranged pieces create a strong undulating sense of depth, with the facade’s texture and light-shadow effect shifting with every change in viewing angle.
As the sun moves throughout the day, the reflected highlights and cast shadows from the circular pieces shift continuously, bringing dynamic vitality to the static metal facade.
The solid textured panels alternate with horizontal full-height glazing, creating a striking contrast between the rich texture of the metal and the transparency of glass, perfectly suited to the showcase nature of this two-story modular building.
